I wanted to let you know about an important
development in the fight against sudden cardiac arrest. In the
President's recent budget proposal we learned that the Rural and
Community Access to Emergency Devices Program has been slated for
elimination this year.
Your help is needed right now to rescue this lifesaving program -
take action today and ask your members of Congress to restore funding.
The Rural and Community AED Program provides states with grants to
purchase automated external defibrillators, train lay rescuers and
first responders to use AEDs and place them in public areas where
cardiac arrests are likely to occur. The program provides rescuers
with tools to help save lives.
Please ask your member of Congress to fight to keep the Rural and
Community AED program a top priority by clicking here

You're the Cure advocates have helped make a difference on this issue
in the past - as this is not the first time this program has been on
the chopping block. We will continue to keep you updated on this issue
as the process moves along over the course of the year. This is the
first step in fighting for this critical program. Thank you for your
help and your continued support.
